What kind of life do I want? I don’t know. But I know what I won’t want myself to regret about.

There are some questions that come to my mind every once in a while. They used to trouble me and make me feel puzzled from time to time. Slowly I have mapped out how they are interconnected to each other. Now it seems a good time point to consolidate and distill them into something that can make my day-to-day better (kind of serving as a template response for some thoughts that used to bother me).

Why do we bother going to work if it is just grinding? Is work just about preparing for the retirement?

This question came to my mind casually when I was still a teenager. I didn’t find an answer back then. In recent years I have gradually put together a more complete answer for this question.

I am lucky to have a bunch of great friends. So I want to take the time to share some of the thoughts I have had for a long time that I haven’t told them.

Don’t blindly follow your every feeling. They are right sometimes, but more often they are wrong. This is one of the most important things I learned in the last two years.

Quarter-life Crisis hits people around the age of 25. Usually, this is the time where people finish university and enter the workforce. Working 5 days a week, the uniform work life seems way different from what one can expect while he was in university. We start to question what is meaning of our existence and work.
